So ... for best trilogy I use the metric of top quality from beginning to end ... which three movie series hit on all cylinders all the time ...

I'm sorry ... Matrix II sucked big time ... I'm sorry, The Two Towers sucked straight off Tolkien's own hand ...

Whereas all three Shrek movies put my whole family on the floor laughing ... more so than LOTR ... I had introduced the kids to Bored of the Rings long before the movies came out ... we couldn't stop laughing through all three movies ... God that was embarrassing ...

Matrix 2 had the cool few scenes with twins

Not as ridiculous as Pippin gazing into the palantír and see the blazing letters magically appear "Reply hazy, ask again later" ...

If I remember correctly ... the total was closer to 70 between the two as told in the books ... and they were both atop a defensive wall hacking away as the orcs were trying to scale it ... and both were of royal blood ... not all that far out there in a tale where cut-throat short fucks pack magic rings ...

I forgot to include the Walt Dinsey Aladdin trilogy. After that film was first released, two more were done named Return Of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
