I chose the most prolific for each country. I didn't include some new tanks (T-14, Karrar, Altay) due to them being largely untested and barely in the stage of mass production.

My top choices were the Leopard 2 and T-90. I find it difficult to even make a case for the rest. The Leopard 2 is beloved for its high mobility, long range, great accuracy, and formidable armor. The T-90 combines the maneuverability and speed of the T-72, with the extreme armor famous in the T-80. Ultimately I chose the T-90.

The M1 Abrams and Challenger 2 are shit. They are incredibly expensive and ridiculously slow. The US and UK packed as much weapons and armor plating on these tanks as they could, and sent them into production. They cost millions to transport individually overseas (not kidding), have to be refueled constantly, are too slow to keep up with other advancing units, and it takes an expert crew to maneuver them properly.

Maybe you'll change your vote about the T-90 when you check out the lists by Army Technology who lists it at #8 and Military Today who has it at #10. Both sites have the Leopard 2 at #1.

Bloodrock44 will argue for the Abrams since he was weaned on those buggies.

I went with the French Leclerc. It is the fastest. This helps to maintain a proud French tradition...retreat.

I don't care what military magazines think. American military analysts have never impressed me, and I am capable of forming my own analysis.

The Leopard 2 is definitely worthy of a high ranking though.

The Leclerc is one of the best tanks ever created. It has long range, incredible speed, and great stabilizers.

Who cares? Sorry but I have come to hate warmongering.

Thanks Onyx...It also comes in all white with improved rear armor.

Ha! There's no real basis to the claim that the French military are cowards, but I guess they have to live with it anyways.

It's not warmongering ya idgit. We are admiring the fine engineering and specs of these amazing vehicles.
OF DEAAATH!!!

Well...they were pretty good up to WW2...then Diem Bien Phu and Algeria.

The French army fought to the death to cover the allies escape. Commanders were fully aware that they were running suicide missions to buy time. Those that survived assembled with the allies or formed resistance organizations within France.

Every other European country lost in their post-WW2 colonization wars, so I don't know why the French are singled out.
