In 33 AD, a Roman Tribune in Judea is tasked to find the missing body of Jesus Christ. The movie is from his perspective as he has been ordered to determine who stole the body of the Jew and keep the population calm by showing their Messiah is dead.
 
This one is my very favorite, love.
The version directed by William Wyler...the 1959 version.

Charlton Heston in Ben Hur! Yes! You know, somebody died making the chariot scene in that movie...the guy that gets run over by the chariot.

I think they built that whole arena for the movie--now it's GCI crap
Ben Hur and The Ten Commandments--they don't make them like that anymore
 
Yeah, Ben Hur is tough to beat, but I did like Risen a lot.

....I bought the TC DVD...then later on I saw a DVD with both movies --I was pissed I didn't get both for one
