The North Koreans execute criminals quite quickly and very publicly for grand theft, murder, rape, drug smuggling, treason, espionage, political dissidence, defection, piracy, consumption of media not approved by the government and proselytizing religious beliefs that contradict practiced Juche ideology.I'm betting the murder rate would drop rapidly if Baltimore adopted this practice.

Yep Bernie looking like a fool again.

Yo, Bernie is the Typical Socialist Democrat, he needs to see the back-side of a barn? Then he will see the GOOD LORD!!!

Bernie is a lunatic, he would never get my vote

Actually it's factual.

>> Residents of Roland Park, Baltimore’s wealthiest neighborhood, live to an average age of 84 — matching the life expectancy of Japan, the nation where citizens live longer, on average, than any country in the world. In Sandtown, where Freddie Gray lived and the median household income is less than a quarter of Roland Park’s, the life expectancy is 70 years. That’s matches the average life expectancy in North Korea, an impoverished dictatorship where millions suffer from chronic undernourishment, according to the United Nations.

At 66 years, Downtown/Seton Hill and Greenmount East have the city’s lowest life expectancy, matching India and Pakistan.

Not that Baltimore is much different from any number of other places, just an example.

To pretend this is a classless society, that's the folly.

What -- nobody bothered to look this up?

The city map for this comparison --- which is here --- marks each district analogously with its comparator country in terms of access to health care (Germany, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, etc). It offers an interesting perspective for a population that is "Number one" at imagining that it's "number one". Kind of a reality check.

Of course there are those among us who don't want to know about that. :lalala: Hence a head-in-the-sand thread like this.

The classes are self imposed. Live a criminal life style and you are more likely to die from a gunshot wound or a drug overdose and live in a shit hole slum.

talk about head in the sand.

Political parties don't run cities, hack.

From 2001 to 2008, millions of jobs were moved to China. Over 42,000 factories were closed. Tax cuts were given to the rich to the tune of trillions. The country was devastated like a plague of locusts had attacked it. Some cities were hurt worse than others.

You really have no concept of reality, do you? I get it that being a possum sucks, but I didn't make you a possum. You are apparently content with being a possum despite all your bitching that I'm responsible for the fact that you're a marsupial.
Now, unfortunately, you are stuck on possum but the people of Baltimore are not.
They can live by the rules and get an education, a profession or trade and support themselves like responsible people do or they can continue to live on the scraps remaining after the folks that actually produce are done.
The old give a man a fish/ teach him to fish proverb is the crux. We offer to teach men to fish for 12 years. Everyone has that same advantage. What you do with that is on you.

If this is all over your head, the idea is I quoted four posters who seemed to think the stated info was wrong, and I proved that it was not. Which has fuck-all to do with your life story.

Deal with it.
