What Sanders is proposing is a system almost exactly like the UK and almost ALL of industrialized Europe and Australia........If you think that all of our allies are "communist" then there no help for you....juts stay dumb and try not to breed little morons.

These countries are failing economically. With the system you, the other Progressives here and Bernie Sanders worship. Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Cyprus.

Our socialism provides an educated workforce for our businesses. It provides roads, bridges, railways, seaports for business to move goods and services. It provides security and protection. It provides a legal system to protect business from unfair trade.

The services you list are services desired by the community for which they tax themselves to pay for the service. This includes police, military, and other services. This is NOT Socialism. Nor is the legal system Socialism. Our legal system exists due to a demand which is also paid for by the citizens.

Your link is from January 2015. From... the Atlantic. Mine is from 2016...from Forbes. Hmmm, I wonder which has more credibility? Here is also a link from the Huffington Post. In fact, the article mentions how the 2016 report is different from previous reports. If you want to know more about how the rankings are compiled there is a link to the actual institution that did the report for the United Nations and more information about it. Of course I highly doubt you'll read any of that, because it doesn't agree with your opinion.

However, children of low or middle-income parents should be given vouchers to enable them to send their children to the school of their choice. Parents should pay a nominal amount toward the annual tuition.

Such a program was working extremely well in Washington DC. In fact, several such students were attending Sidwell Friends private school in Washington DC. They were using vouchers provided by Washington, DC. In order for Washington DC to obtain government funds when Obamacare went into effect, Washington was forced to stop their voucher program. Same with the states. The children were making great progress, Sidwell Friends was happy, the children were happy and the parents were happy.

NO WAY Progressives could allow such a thing to continue. So, as I said, Lame Duck President Barack Hussein Obama halted the program. Oh, that's also the private school the Obama's children attend, a Quaker school.

It is ironic though that it is the things socialist can't stand - CO2 and oil... that made their lifestyle possible.

What about it? Greece's economy failed because of a couple of different reasons. First because they have low birth rates and a mostly aging population, so that means they had more people retiring, and less people working to pay into their pension program. The program was also hit hard because so many of their wealthiest residents use out of country tax shelters to avoid paying taxes that would go towards some of their national programs. So their debt to income ration got out of whack... yet they wanted to bad so be a part of the European union and adopt the Euro, that they fudged numbers in order to look good enough to be accepted, which only made things worse. So in the end, debts rose, and so did inflation, with no fall back plans.

And Capitalism? In the U.S., the airlines had to be bailed out by the government, the automobile industry had to be bailed out by the government, the banks had to be bailed out by the government... and all the while the government is Trillions and Trillions of dollar in debt and only growing.

So what's your point?
