Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt to committing a crime. They are frightened of RICO.That would be a double edged sword, if Sleepy Joe gave pardons. All of the members of the committee could be called to testify under oath, and with their pardons granted, would not be able to plead the 5th, as it wouldn't apply as they couldn't be prosecuted for the crimes.
They'd have to tell the truth.
Can you "not accept" a pardon? Is that possible?Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt to committing a crime. They are frightened of RICO.
The J-6 committee... both the republican's and democrats conspired to frame a former US president for a crime... they hid and destroyed emails text messages and evidence that showed Trump was not guilty...
If a prosecutor and a Grand Jury did this they would all be facing 25 years in prison...

"I'm sorry Mr. President, I'd rather stay in jail".![]()
He was older and from my neighboring state. Perhaps you should ask him. But, I suppose that would be difficult, as the former Governor died in 1996, at the hospital, here in Jackson. He must have been Bill Clinton's mentor.
I did not bring it up.Why are you trying to derail the thread?
Knock it off.

All they do is accept or not accept.
Picaro is not making sense again.
well he asked you a question and you avoided the question. go fking figure. The options you gave are always the only 2 right? So what's your issue.Picaro is not making sense again.
yepYou mean you said something stupid again and can't think of anything to do about it.
He blathers, jc456, like you do so often, so my issue is why you blathers won't talk straight and true.well he asked you a question and you avoided the question. go fking figure. The options you gave are always the only 2 right? So what's your issue.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said President Joe Biden should “very seriously” consider preemptive pardons for members of the House January 6 select committee after president-elect Donald Trump said last week they should be jailed.
Sanders twice called Trump’s recent statement “outrageous.”
“This is what authoritarianism is all about. It’s what dictatorship is all about,” the former Democrat said on NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday morning. “You do not arrest elected officials who disagree with you, who undertake an investigation.”
During a wide-ranging interview with NBC News host Kristen Welker last Sunday, Trump said the seven House Democrats and two House Republicans who served on the January 6 panel “should go to jail.”
Comment:
There should be an investigation into the destruction of evidence by Pelosi's Jan 6 committee.
There should be an investigation into the death of the unarmed protester Ashly Babbitt.
There should be an investigation into the abnormally long prison sentences of the Jan 6 protesters.
Bernie Sanders is a paranoid left wing knuttjob.
Trump is not the "authoritarian".
In fact, what Trump is battling is the far-left authoritarianism of the corrupt Democrat Party.
he laughed at you. You are one of those mr. obvious huh? Well duh, they can accept or not accept. Way to go Einstein. Nobody knew that until you blessed us with your post.He blathers, jc456, like you do so often, so my issue is why you blathers won't talk straight and true.
He sure is. I mean think of all the dictatorial things he did in his first term in office.Trump is an authoritarian dictator and Biden should issue pardons to prevent harassment. Your accusations show that you are a lying weasel.
