Today Bernie and Hillary are going to meet with each other. Bernie says he wants to see how committed Hillary is to the policies he has espoused during this campaign. Whaaat ? Uh, EARTH TO BERNIE: What makes you think she is even considering your policies, let alone be "committed" to them ?
All through his campaign, Bernie has made opposition to Wall St influence, the cornerstone of it. So how could he even begin to expect Hillary Clinton to be the slightest bit favorable to that ? Of the 3 main candidates still in the race, Hillary is, by far, the most wedded to Wall St, the big banks, and hedge fund guys, and she has been for a long time.
As of 3 weeks ago, in the Finance/Insurance/Realestate category, Hillary has taken a whopping 46.9 Million. Bernie has gotten $2.1 Million (only 4% of Hillary's amount). Trump, who is primarily self-financing his campaign, has gotten only $571 THOUSAND (only 1% of Hillary's amount)
Let's look at some of the donations of Wall St. industries >>>
Securities & Investment
Hillary - $28.2 Million
Sanders - $267.9 Thousand
Trump - $33.7 Thousand
Selected Industry Totals | OpenSecrets
Hedge Funds & Private Equity
Hillary - $16.4 Million
Sanders - $35.9 Thousand
Trump - $7.3 Thousand
Selected Industry Totals | OpenSecrets
