The poll found that 42 percent of Americans said they view Trump favorably, while 57 percent said they view him unfavorably, leaving the president with a net favorability -15 points. In the same poll, 57 percent of Americans said they view Obama favorably with 40 percent saying they view him unfavorably, giving him a net favorability of +17.

If you do the math, a -15 (Trump) and a +17 (Obama) means a difference of 32 points, making it a landslide.

Why It Matters​

Trump’s favorability and approval rating could prove to be a key metric for Republican support ahead critical New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races next month and 2026 midterm elections in Congress.
