The poll found that 42 percent of Americans said they view Trump favorably, while 57 percent said they view him unfavorably, leaving the president with a net favorability -15 points. In the same poll, 57 percent of Americans said they view Obama favorably with 40 percent saying they view him unfavorably, giving him a net favorability of +17.

If you do the math, a -15 (Trump) and a +17 (Obama) means a difference of 32 points, making it a landslide.

Why It Matters​

Trump’s favorability and approval rating could prove to be a key metric for Republican support ahead critical New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races next month and 2026 midterm elections in Congress.

Both presidents won the popular and electoral votes. This year, the Trump supporters have been throwing down the throats of Democrats that Trump won this election and that it means that Americans wants Trump. Well, this NEW poll shows that right now (after what Trump has done since Inauguration Day), Americans would prefer Trump to step down and a Democrat to get into office.

I totally agree that the Biden and the Democrats did not do a good job in the last term. Having said that (and a fact you are not addressing), is that Trump is taking us down a "worse" path. Yes, he has done a few things right (which all administrations can claim, including Biden's) but overall, Trump is taking us down a path where our ENTIRE existence as a nation that represents Democracy, good will, good health, just laws, and the best for its people is being torn down to represent bullying power, overwhelming corruption and disunity among the nation. It is a path to self-destruction (much like the Roman Empire went).
