Report: Yankees fans taunt Zack Greinke about social anxiety disorder and depression; one fan ejected

Apparently the fans of New York were cannibalizing their own pitcher due to him struggling on the mound, calling out to him saying his first name was Donald, then saying obscene things about his mother, and then turning on him by making fun of the medications he takes for anxiety and other mental issues he has struggled with over the years. The pitcher claims he heard none of it and tried to down play it, but he actually has class and does not belong in New York.

I love the fact that a team the spends more money on their bull pen than Tampa Bay spends on their entire team cannot buy a World Series ring.

Hilarious. What ineptitude New Yorkers seem to have.

Zach Greinke is a pitcher for the Astros not the Yankees. He pitched for the Diamondbacks until this year and I've watched many of his interviews. He seems like he could be autistic and has a lot of trouble communicating and with eye contact. I'm glad he pitched well and shut those classless Yankee fans up. That is really pathetic.

Yankee fan mocks pitchers condition, Yankees get steamrolled. Yankee fan can wait until next year (after another Astros win) to engage in insults against someone over their health.

Your thread title, however, is redundant.

Yeah I don't think he'd ever lower himself to pitch for the Wankees.

He can hit too, so that talent is kinda wasted in the AL.

Yankees started buying pennants when they bought Babe Ruth from Boston. They've never stopped.

Has not our New Yorker president taunted a reporter with a disability?

Don't forget all the socialist pro sports team owners who rely upon public funding for their cathedral stadiums.

New Yorkers are simply.........well..............act like New Yorkers.

I remember when my Reds swept them at home during the 1976 World Series. It was like men playing against boys.

Anyway, the last game in New York those Yankee school girls were getting blown out and Yankee fans began throwing any trash on the field that they could find.

Children behave better.

Greinke is a pitcher for the Astros.

And yes, Yankees fans are classless.....Though not nearly as bad as Boston fans.
Bill Lee wanted to take a swing at me after a playoff loss at Yankee Stadium. Plus, at the time my sister was wearing her "Fisk Eats Rice" T Shirt.

New York is a Democratic state. What do you expect. I am a Yankees fan but the behavior is inexcusable. I have been to a lot of Yankee games and have never witnessed in person the fans throwing stuff on the field. Philly fans yes and they assault people. Anyone who says the Yankees suck doesn’t watch baseball. You don’t win 27 World Series by sucking and the Mets will never be in the same league as the Yankees. The Yankee players are classy athletes. Jeter, Rivera, Posada, and many more. New York fans are passionate but sometimes they step over the line like any other teams fans.

Greinke has had a 16 year career and will likely be in the Hall of Fame someday.
