Axios: Guess What Democrats Have Stopped Talking About?

There had been a dearth of screeching from the left about the impending climate apocalypse. With the failures of the Green New Boondoggle as a slush fund for leftist waste, fraud and abuse, perhaps it was just s "phase they were going through".

Here's a hint: It's something that Democrats could not shut up about for the last four years. No, it's not Defund the Police. That mission still gets some support from the progressive/socialist vanguard, as we see in New York City. And you know it's not about Donald Trump and his supposed "threat to democracy."

So which Democrat dog has ceased its barking? The one that barked up the wrong energy tree, according to an Axios review of Democrat speeches and social-media accounts:

Democrats aren't explicitly disavowing the Green New Deal, but they've abruptly stopped talking about it as they scramble to find new ways to talk about climate change.
 • Over the past three months, Democrats in Congress collectively said "Green New Deal" only six times across social media and on the floor.
 • That's the fewest mentions since the proposal rose to prominence in the fall of 2018, according to data from the legislative tracking service Quorum.
The second potential reason may be more applicable. Joe Biden actually managed to get a big chunk of the Green New Deal through Congress by calling it the Inflation Reduction Act. His administration then took that cash and just handed it out to progressive orgs run by cronies like Stacey Abrams. As we found out a few weeks ago, the Biden Regency gave out $90 billion in "loans" from the IRA after losing the election, with $42 billion going out the door in the last two days of Biden's wretched term
epstein files has trumped it all so that they can badger trump and treat him hostile and with TDS. Oh normal.

20% of our energy already comes from renewables. It is 100% of energy output growth in the US. What does cost have to do with anything? What is the cost of environmental disaster?

I always like to look at the worst case scenario to weigh options in risk.

- If you invest in renewable energy and CO2 emissions weren’t the cause of warming you spent money and now have a cleaner energy source and less money. Very sad.

-If you don’t invest in renewable energy and CO2 emissions are the cause of warming the environment is destroyed. Very final.

Seems like a no brainer.

Does the US?

And the US emits 700% more CO2 than India - per capita.

Listen, you stuck your foot in your mouth twice now. Want a third?

Let's check:

There are very large inequalities in per capita emissions across the world.

The world’s largest per capita CO2 emitters are the major oil-producing countries; this is particularly true for those with relatively low population size. Most are in the Middle East and include Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

However, many of the major oil producers have a relatively small population meaning their total annual emissions are low. More populous countries with some of the highest per capita emissions – and therefore high total emissions – are the United States, Australia, and Canada which on average have emissions that are around 3 times higher than the global average.

Since there is such a strong relationship between income and per capita CO2 emissions, we’d expect this to be the case: countries with high standards of living would have a high carbon footprint. But what becomes clear is that there can be large differences in per capita emissions, even between countries with similar standards of living. Many countries across Europe, for example, have much lower emissions than the US, Canada, or Australia.

why do you act like CO2 is bad?

I am no expert but when I see politicians and social elites calling for action among the masses to curb their carbon footprint in actions and taxes while exempting themselves; and, so-called experts falsifying their scientific data to support climate change theories, I start thinking this is a front for taxes on America.

Just read an article recently about how Climate Change effected ancient human ancestors like the Neandrathals or something like that and they had a hard time coping with that Climate Change. It's all their faults that we are where we are today. If they had just spent trillions and trillions of dollars back then fighting mother nature we wouldn't be facing extinction today. AOC said about 12 years ago that we only had 12 years left. We could go at any time now.

Hey demofks, not one of you has said why CO2 is bad for us!

Fk, I've been waiting since I got here in 2013

You're too stupid to discuss anything with

Oh wait...you're a troll too

so what's bad about CO2?

What's good is keep us alive.

Nothing more trolling than what ole Lesh just wrote. Seriously, far too stupid to understand her failure here.

You really miss context.

Sure our emissions as a percent to total are much less that it was. We were the basically the only industrialized nation for a long time. The world's output is much more now and the world needs to cooperate to keep the planet from being a shit hole. Its our only one. The US has the most output per person. Yes it is less than it was. China had no output per person. Now they do. So, sure its gone up.

We are where we are: US large population and highest per capita output. China largest population and lower per capita output, but still high. Rest of the world barely matters.

Does High per capital CO2 melt the ice caps faster than low per capita CO2?

Absolutely meaningless chart!

The total American and European CO2 output between 1750 and 1950 would barely register and is a decimal point compared to Chinese output today. The 100% scale is meaningless

But but but China CO2 is per capita!!

Concrete and asphalt cities cause global warming.
Lie. They are not respnsible for even a negligible part of measured global warming. You have been fooled by paid liars who misrepresented a dubious study.
