Australia's immigration laws allow for the refusal of visas if the individual is deemed to pose a risk to public order or national interest. I would say a public figure that loves spreading anti Semitism and islamophobia qualifies, especially when that individual is coming to Australia to host an open event for her to spread her lies, conspiracy theories and racism.

Again, I'm not arguing that the Australian authorities violated their own laws.

Haha. I'm not talking about her skin color. I'm talking about her personality and the things that fall out of her mouth.

Ethics do not dictate that you let any foreigner in on request. That's why you have to apply for a visa instead of ordering one on amazon.

Ethically, what reason is there to deny her application? She's a holocaust denier? Conspiracy theorist? So? Freedom is worthless if it's only the freedom to do what's right and good. Obviously that can be taken too far, but in this case it's just a question of her beliefs, and speech.
