Great stuff. All of these commonwealth lackeys should do the same. Stand on your own feet.

Many of them are.

More are not.
They like their Constitutional Monarchy system of government.
6 states, all with their own Constitution and elected govt, a Premier the head of the elected govt in each state.
Each state also has a Governor, the Monarch's representative, who oversees it all.
There's also federal parliament in Canberra...the Prime Minister appointed by the ruling Party.
The Governor-General based in the nation's capital Canberra is the Monarch's representative who oversees the whole lot.
The politicians, state and federal, have to swear allegiance to the Monarch, not themselves!
It's a great system.
Cops everywhere, military swear allegiance to the Monarch not the politicians.
Each state has a House of Reps and a Senate, except Qld ...no Senate.

The system has served Australia well since independence/federation in 1901.
The majority are in no hurry to change it.
