It's a novel case, the law has never been used that way before. It was a total kangaroo court.
I don’t think Merchan’s associates will allow him that liberty. They have invested too much in attempting to convict Trump of something, anything. The last thing they can allow is for the wheels to come off. They will hope they get a favorable result from the Appeals Court, or that they can appeal the case higher. Anything to hide their machinations for long enough for the American people to lose interest.
