The question is, why don't they do the things you claim they should having read it?

Only those outside the faith claim they should do those things you suggest, why?

Number one, it is because people such as you have never read the bible cover to cover and are going by what the uneducated and cafeteria Christians or parents and friends (who also never read it) tell them.
But more importantly as to why they no longer do what the bible says as the Catholics did do in the Middle Ages and Christians did up until the time of the civil war is because...............
