Truth be told, I don't go to church, unless invited by friends who want me to go, and that only happens a couple of times a year. Why? Because I'm not Christian, I'm a Taoist.

But every time I do go to church, I participate in the singing and the praying, just like everyone else around me. I don't stand there silently with a scowl on my face, looking like I'd rather be anywhere but there.

Matter of fact, the last time I was at church was over the summer, attending a funeral of a friend of mine. And, yes, even there, when they sang, I sang with them. When they prayed, I prayed with them.

Being a spiritual person lets you participate in things, even if they don't believe exactly as you do.
