There you are. My neighbor told me a story that made me think of you. She befriended the mail lady. Cool chick. They were hanging out one night and the mail lady told her that she also delivers pizza at night. She has to have 2 jobs. It's not because she WANTS more money. She needs it. How do I know that? Another neighbor gave them a ride in his boat. He said something like "I only paid $4000 for this boat". Later the mail lady said to the other woman "can you believe I have to work 2 jobs to pay my bills and HE's complaining or saying he ONLY spent $4000 for a freakin boat?"

Why is my mail carrier so poor? I suspect like most professions, mail carriers don't make what they used to. Just like teachers.

But guess what? We still have enough idiots who aren't smart but can carry a lot and read 5 numbers delivering mail. And we still have young ladies who despite the shitty pay, continue to go to college to become teachers. So you see anyone can deliver mail. You were overpaid.

I hope she's going to get a pension. My teacher neighbor retired and she's got a pension. I don't think current teachers will get pensions. And I wonder if this mail carrier is going to get a pension. She's old. I hope she does. Maybe that's why she does it. I had a FBI dad tell me once that you don't work for the government for the pay. You do it for the pension. I hope that's true for this lady. She really is nice.

That conversation made me feel proud. When my neighbor told them he only paid $4000 for his boat and she was like "how dare that son of a ***** complain or say he only paid $4000 for a boat when I'm struggling to pay my bills". So you common folk who are struggling are envious of a guy who owns a $4000 boat? Well I paid $25,500 for my pontoon before covid. The price is $35K now. And I paid CASH for my boat. I better not tell her that. She'll lose her mind. LOL.
