Actually this is about going after a crook, who used the presidency to shield himself from prosecution for 4 years, hoping the statute of limitations would run out.

Trump has been in legal trouble most of his life, but he was always able to get one of his "fixers" to pay people off, to make the problem go away.

But Trump is too much of a grifter to let being president stop his violations of law. So the cases against him took a hiatus, while he was in office, and have now come home to roost.

Ummmm the only reason Stormy Daniels came forward with the story and he paid her to keep quiet about it was because he was running for President.... Had he not run for President there would be no "crime".

What could this DA who's using the same witnesses that those entities had have uncovered? It's not like this "crime" is all that complicated. There is nothing on it's face that's illegal about writing a check. It's how the check is recorded in the financial records that makes a difference. And those records weren't available until Trump had left office.

Think of it like having a locked briefcase in your possession. Until you can get the means to open it, would you know what's inside.

The federal charge DOJ could have persued previously without Trumps tax returns......but they chose no to, why is that?

The FEC looked at Federal campaign laws, not State Campaign Laws. You know this talk of indictment is NY state law based not federal law based, right?
