Tripoli: A decades-old library owned by a Greek Orthodox priest in north Lebanon’s Sunni majority city of Tripoli was torched late on Friday, a day after a sectarian scuffle, a security source said.

“Unknown assailants torched the Saeh Library in Tripoli, destroying two thirds of some 80,000 books and manuscripts housed there,” said the source, who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity.

Long ago----when I was young (and beautiful---but really stupid) I has a soft
spot in my heart for SHIITES-----because I thought them victims of scorn and
persecution (well ----I observed the pakistani attitude toward them) Also---
way back then ---Iran had not yet become psychotic. Over time---I did learn---
even before Hezboallah ooozed out of Iran-----that shiites -----have mindsets
not all that different from sunnis.
