It's up to Congress after tomorrow.
Negative. Your blob could recall the troops today. Congress could do notihng about it.
Serious question, which wars have ever had a "definitive end date?"
Your blob signed the surrender papers in Afghanistan...we had to be out by a certain date as I recall.

But your question informs whether or not it’s wise to start a “forever war” does it not? You know...the thing that your blob campaigned on never ever starting?

Well here we are...2+ months in and no end in sight.

The rest of th eworld is already begining to supply oil from other locations. There's no real peace with Iran ever ... not those particular ones in charge. When they had no qualms about making 9 year olds cross mine fields in their war with Iraq, we got the hint that they dont value the same things as most of the world. It makes for a very skewed negotiating table. There also arent so many nations such as them with as many mine laying vessels... why do you think that is? do you think thats a sign of a country that just wants to get along? They already hated us.. and if the world hates us now.. they will get over it once the IRGC is gone. It would change the entire M.E. for the better. Whichever countries left who were also supporting terrorism could then be easily made to stop.
I’m so old I remember when we backed Saddam

It was a failure. And it was called a failure. We didnt defeat or disarm Iran. We simply raised the cost of oil on ourselves, shut down shipping lanes, killed school girls, put in place a more radical leader, and demonstrated that our war readiness has plummeted under Trump/Hegseth.
That’s why we need to finish the job, I hate that we are there but since we are, we need to end a threat that has existed since Carter.

Let me know when/if you want to have an adult discussion.

You can always tell when the right wing loons are painted into a corner...they are justifying the bombing of a girl’s school. I suspect when Woodward writes his book about this sad episode in the blob’s administration that we’ll find out a lot of the firings/resignations in our officer corps was over this event and whether or not the administration should “take the hit” for it--that the bad publicity was more important than just admitting we fukked up. I don’t think for a moment that we bombed the school on purpose. But I also feel that this administration will go to any length to avoid admitting our failure in this case.
Trump invariably tries to blame someone else, and his knee-jerk lie was to indicate that Iran had done it (apparently anticipating when and where the U.S. would spring his "Pearl Harbor" surprise, and having a U.S. Tomahawk missile at the ready.)

It reminds me how "antifa" was initially blamed for thousands of Trump goons attacking the Capitol to thwart the certified will of the People.

Wouldn't you reject "free" coal, if you need gasoline? And, I'm sure, the USA didn't suggest American fuel for naval reactors.
We aren't discussing coal or gas, we're discussing should Iran get nuclear weapons or not.
It doesn't work that way. Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine - gave up their nukes and nuclear programs and were attacked.
Iraq never had any, neither did Libya or Syria, and Ukraine gave them up for security guarantees vie the Budapest Memorandum, which Russia signed and reneged on. We are trying to help Ukraine fend of Russia's illegal invasion.
No. It's exactly why we'll give Iran nukes.
Today we are discussing the terms and prices.
Extinction is nothing to toy with, a Russian nuke is still Russia's responsibility.
Nobody cares about your opinion, period.
Its not "opinion" its US policy enforced by military and economic means.
They are that smart.
LOL. How are Iran, Russia, Turkey or China going to denuclearize Israel? Why would they?
Hint: Iran has no military, Russia is busy in Ukraine, Turkey has no problem with Israel, and China likes peace better than war.

No, death to terrorists, not all terrorists are Persian but the Iran government support terrorists, train terrorists, and would kill every American today if given the opportunity.
Like in Gaza where everyone is a “terrorist”, right?
