As expected the "Olympians from Russia" won the gold, Germany gave up a shorthanded goal 1 min left

What a crushing loss. Germany almost won the bloody gold! Funny though, Germany has many Canadian players and coaches who obviously qualified based on family lineage etc.

Russa was shorthanded, pulled their goalie and scored with a min left to force OT. Win in OT. Would have been stunning for Germany to beat Russia, especially after having already beating Canada. Russia had a number of known players so, I thought they would cruise to the Gold.

Oh well. Next time we have NHL players there, and let's see where it goes.

Boy that game hurt...Germans with the power play...a minute and change and they give it up in the neutral zone. Silly silly silly. There is a big job waiting for Sturm somewhere.
