Critics have long pointed out the downside of the SNAP program citing the preponderance of junk foods and highly processed foods purchased by those enrolled in the program. Shown is an overweight shopper cruising the processed food aisle with shopping cart filled with such items.

People not on SNAP make crap food choices too. If they don't get November benefits, so be it. If Trump uses its rainy day fund to pay benefits, so be that. Shutdowns should have consequences.

There are lots of fat people in grocery stores, yet you nor the article have proven they use SNAP.

Hey, at least TRUMP! is using tariff revenue to keep WIC going.

SNAP recipients have other problems besides diet that we are paying for. The least they could do is eat right.

Average SNAP benefit for a single person is $292/month.

$292 divided by 90 meals = $3.24 per meal.

Of course, babies fed on formula are quite expensive, but that only lasts a couple of years, then their share of SNAP food bennies would feed three kids.

The reason SNAP benefits aren't better managed is that there are just too many on the program, 40 million or so. It would cost more to properly manage it than is lost due to poor management.

Then we can assume some fat welfare queen towing her spawn has an EBT card.
Depends on where you shop. My store has few such shoppers. Too upscale (read expensive) for them. I rarely see a child there either. They shop at the (so-called) discount supermarkets.
