Article about the Start of the Revolutionary War: Notice Something?

That is the way it works with Treason
Did the Founders have a superior moral position based on the idea of natural rights?

If so, it does not matter what your self-interest may have been.

You should not need to. But you pretend a woman at the Capitol was a dangerous horrible person. You learned from ME she actually hit the man who bashed the windows out and she was boosted up by 2 strong males. You believe the cop was too scared and shit his pants thinking he might have to actually arrest a woman. You do not know a damned thing about the Capitol building. And when will I read you smashing Democrats as the fathers of Slavery?

Again, Lt. Byrd's actions were reviewed and he was cleared of wrongdoing.

Case close.

Also, look up some of the Video's Ashli posted on Twitter. The woman was not well.

So, there are acceptable times when police need to kill unarmed people resisting arrest?

What about George Floyd?

Lt Byrd is an American hero

George Floyd was handcuffed and presented no danger.

The mob storming the capitol presented a danger.

See, that wasn't complicated at all!
Resisting arrest is always a danger.

Police have been shot by disorderly drunks who resist arrest, just like George resisted arrest while high on fentanyl

Try again.

I'm sure it was the Trilateralists Bilderberger Lizard People you think are living under your bed when your meds aren't working!
The British and Dutch largely controlled the trans-Atlantic slave trade until the UK decided to end slavery and eliminate the trans-Atlantic slave trade by interdicting the slave ships.

By the same department that didn't discipline him for leaving his duty weapon in a public bathroom in the Capital building. That clearly shows the lack of discipline used in the Capital Police.

Or it was a minor incident.
Holy crap, I just looked up a report the Capital Police had three incidents of officers leaving duty guns in public bathrooms in 2015. The only incident leaked sounds like Byrd, a child found his gun stuffed into a tissue dispenser in a stall. The officer got a whole three day suspension. Then the article quotes the the Capital Police saying that the incident was an internal matter and not subject to public release. Not that they were sorry about the incident, or that they were concerned and changing their procedures. Just a “go away this is none of your business”. It also says “the Capital Police have no responsibility to report to report “unsecured or unattended guns”. The new Chief of the Capital Police testified before congress that the new punishment would be increased to a minimum thirty day unpaid suspension for a first incident and penalties up to and including termination for subsequent incidents.

If you look at the old culture, you can clearly see how Byrd wasn’t disciplined for shooting Babbit. There was no meaningful accountability for officer misconduct. That’s why I never trusted the Capital Police “investigation” into the shooting. There was no transparency or oversight by an independent agency.
Other departments don’t investigate their own shootings. For instance the LAPD turns the matter over to the LA County District Attorney for independent investigation.
The State Office of Special Investigations investigates NYPD officer involved shootings.

At best self-investigation looks self-serving, at worst it is corruption. Remember the old saying “power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely”. The Capital Police have no independent oversight.

Um, okay. And if he leaves his gun in the bathroom again, I will be the first one for firing him. This has nothing to do with the fact that he was dealing with an angry mob intent on murdering members of Congress, and he took appropriate action.

And how many times are they charged? Chicago also had a civilian review board, that often found that even some of the most egregious cases were justified.

Or it sounds like most of the other 1000 cases a year where police officers shoot civilians, where it is ruled justified.

What amuses me is the same people who will find the murder of unarmed blacks in non-threatening situations, are outraged this white woman was shot by a black officer.

Why didn’t Ashli Babbit just knock on the door and ask to come in?

That is what most people do

Or maybe you could start a more interesting thread than, "They said Military supplies instead of guns, it's a conspiracy, I tell you!!!"

Even though most history books say "Military Supplies".
