Army aviators, ready to leave the military, are told they owe 3 more years instead

Just to point out, it could be a function of perspective.

For example, do the pay charts include the $60,000 bonus my daughter gets?

On the other hand anecdotal stories also don't apply to the vast majority.

I was just pointing out the Officer might have in effect made money or got benefits for some other reason.

Counting my college benefits I certainly was.
? You were counting the money they were spending on your school? You're ******* stupid. Let me guess you only counted the days you were drilling too when you did the division.

Yep. You are slow but you catch on if I type slow enough.

McRib said very specifically because of the flight pay his O-3 CO made more than an O-6 Infantry Bn CO. Which is not remotely possible. Unless the O-3 was counting the cost of the airframe he was flying.

Yeah it took me 2 posts to catch on to how stupid you are.
You do realize that since the govt paid for my education and I did not have to, that tuition money was a net gain for me. You smart enough to flollow that? OK good, try to stick with me here. Since I was going to college one way or the other I had to pay for it. So I got the Army to do it. The tuition money the Army paid worked just like my money paying tuition. It was the same to me as making that much money. So say what you want, you are still stupider.

Can't speak to what it was in 1991.

But from 2000 - 2016 the Aviation Bonus was $25,000 per year. Now it's $35,000 per year ($2,900 per month).

Looking at the Military Pay charts.

An O-3 @ 6 years has a base pay of $7,120, plus the $2,900 take it to just over $10,000 per month. An O-6 base pay is under $10,000 @ over 14 years and breaks into over $10,000 at over 16 years.

So ya, it is possible (at least now) for an Aviation Bonus qualified individual (basically a pilot) as an O-3 to earn more per year than a non-aviation O-6.

My daughter is an AF Major (O-4) over 8. With her career field bonus she makes a few hundred a month over the next higher grade (Lt. Col., O-5).

Yes. I get that dum dum. But you werent counting the Majs, BAH and BAS. The medical benefits for him (and his family), the retirement benefits, his PX and Commissary privileges, The tax benefits of purchasing things on base, SGLI, etc etc. Did the government pay for his school? What about the cost of his training? Was that factored in? You were selectively adding in all these benefits on your side, and not doing so on his to make it seem like you made more than he did. Then only using the days you were actively on duty to divide that number by. Did you add in all the days you had to serve after you were done with school? Im betting not. You did the typical e-4 math. Not surprising.

Are you embarrassed boopie? I told you how he figured it out. Are you so insecure you have to argue some stupid point ad nauseam because you are stupid? Just stop. By the way, the rest of my education was paid for by tax dollars (thank you) up to my Masters degree.

What's the BAH difference between O-3 and O-6. Also how many officers make O-6 before 16 years?

Why any decent person would want to be in Joe Potatohead's military is beyond me.

He told Patriotic White men that they were potential terrorists and should be ashamed of their race.

He has hired and promoted filthy ass queers, tryannies and unqualified women.

He is owned by the Chinese and the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff is a traitor to his country.

He made the military the enforcement branch of the filthy Democrat Party after stealing the 2020 election.

Thanks to Potatohead the military is going to EVs that we all know will fail in actual battle conditions getting everybody killed

.No wonder recruitment is down so low.

Im very impressed with your little degree. Do you feel better now that someone's acknowledged you?

The point is your calculation on pay was wrong. Maybe use that masters degree of yours to figure out why.

Back a few years ago Barack "The Worthless Negro" Obama told us to never underestimate the ability of Joe Biden to **** something up. The only thing Obama ever got right in his life.

Joe Biden has managed to **** up the greatest military the world has ever seen. In just two and a half years.

Just like his Chinese buddies wanted.

How is this in any way relevant to the conversation?

You are confused.

Potatohead screwing up the military and nobody wanting to be in it anymore just like he has screwed up everything else he has ever done in his life.

If recruitment levels were better they wouldn't be extending the Army pilots.

Easy dots to connect.

BAH O4 to O6 is now a factor of zip code and I live near a military base, the difference is about $50 a month. Pretty minor.

How many? Probably not many. But that isn’t the question. The question is could it happen and the answer remains yes.

That is not pay, it does not count.

No more than if my wife needed a really expensive medication and treatments would that count as "pay".
OK, you guys win. It is not money. Geeze, you guys must be such insecure little twits you just cannot stand to be wrong. So since none of this matters anyway. You win. both of you.

The difference in Basic Allowance for Housing between and O3 and an O6 is not 50 dollars I don’t care which zipcode you live in.
