The shredded ballot in the picture looks like it could be one ballot... Can't tell what election, if any, , but someone with a blank Nov 2020 Maricopa county ballot could try to see if those shreds are even from the Nov2020 election.
You'd also think their one picture posted in the article that implied hundreds or even thousands of ballots shredded could have taken some pictures of a full trash can or dumpster of them.

Ballots are kept under lock and key for 3 to 5 years after an election, and there was no need for them to have actual ballots cast to figure out if the machines were switching votes, or adding and subtracting votes, or not counting correctly somehow, and that kind of machine fraud...again imo.
To test the machines.... they can use sample ballots filled out and do their checks of the machines... and different audits where they may need them.
