I love debating with folks who think they're "Conservatives" only to prove to them even though they like the sound of being Republican they're actually more supporting of the other side.

Debate the facts? I dunno. Facts about economics? Wanna debate the effects of small government? How about the value of using taxes to build highways? Maybe the "facts" of Abortion? Liberals are always right, and conservatives know it. They just want to continue doing wrong.

Think about every situation.

Slavery. Liberals said it was wrong, conservatives wanted to keep their slaves because they were valuable.

I understand the conservatives position, but that doesn't mean they aren't wrong. But I guess it all depends on who you ask. Generally in a democracy where the government is supposed to protect the masses, conservatives are "wrong" if you ask the masses.

But if you ask the rich men who own the oil companies, gas should be $4 a gallon. And conservatives won't even admit the oil companies gouged us. Hell, some of them even defend the oil companies right to charge whatever they want to charge. They say that's capitalism.

Conservatives didn't want companies to pay health insurance or give workers rights to unionize. If conservatives got their way, America would have never had a strong middle class. That was FDR and the Unions.

But that wouldn't have been bad for "conservatives", because they are the ones who own everything.

And that brings me to middle class conservatives. They are just fools voting outside their own pay grades.

Conservatives want to continue polluting too. They know it is wrong, but doing right would cost them more money, and they don't want that.

Conservatives refuse to fix healthcare or NAFTA, even though both are flawed. Because they benefit from the flaws!!! Or their constituents/lobbysists/campaign donors/financers/supporters benefit from it.

This is why Liberals can't argue with conservatives. Half the conservatives are idiots and the other half are the "plantation owners" who will never see the workers side of things.

They are the have's and we are the have nots. The good news is there are more of us than there are of them, and that bodes well for us in a democracy.

But conservatives are smart to steal stupid middle class voters with wedge issues. God, gays and guns.

You guys said the same thing before the 08 elections. You pointed to polls that suggested people weren't happy with the Dem controlled congress. You were right. But it didn't cost us seats, it cost you guys seats. People voted out the bad characters obstructing progress.

I'd have to see the races that are being run to know how many seats are in jeopordy this year. Do you know? How many seats do you project we will lose is either House or Senate? I think you are more hoping than knowing.
