It can be clearly demonstrated that Moses and Jesus Christ were prophets. Joesph Smith was one too:Uh, no. Prophets don't exist. Put away the childish toys.

It cannot, and that is an absurd lie.It can be clearly demonstrated that Moses and Jesus Christ were prophets. Joesph Smith was one too:
I know you believe thatOur church has 15 apostles and they are consistent with Jesus Christ and Peter, James and John are representatives of God's messengers.
Because that's a fact.OK, so we have people saying Moses, Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith cannot be shown to be prophets.
Isn't that up to God how the evidence gets sent out?Because that's a fact.
You guys always make this same mistake. You believe something magical. But, when it comes to magic, you can never, NOT EVER, produce evidence for or against it.
You guys rush in, guns blazing, and forget all about the second part.
No.Isn't that up to God how the evidence gets sent out?
And why the hell not?
Because I said so. And that's good enough. And why the hell not?
I've heard the Book of Mormon has never been refuted.Because I said so. And that's good enough.
If the god character says otherwise, I close the book and move on with life.
Remember, "There is no witness until after the trial of your faith."Because I said so. And that's good enough.
If the god character says otherwise, I close the book and move on with life.
Yes. Exactly what I am saying.I've heard the Book of Mormon has never been refuted.
But will it be shown scientifically? It can't.
It doesn't work like that. If God revealed Himself to everyone, there would be no leadership and the earth would get corrupted. Not neccesarily, but God isn't doing that now or you wouldn't be typing what you just did.Yes. Exactly what I am saying.
Maybe it IS true. I just don't think so. And I think the odds against are astronomical.
And certainly nobody can be argued with any good evidence to have had divine visions. Inherently.
That was a very interesting perspective. Thank you!
Israeli Cultural Revolution - Passion For The Temple | The Imaginative Force | Prophetic Cinema
"Those of vast grasping, their force of imagination is great and very exalted." - Rabbi Kook
At least among us Jews, those who have a grasp of knowledge,
are those of great imagination. And then there's great daring,
in their descriptions, their thoughts.
We can see this among the prophets.
We can also see this among Kabbalists.
The terminology is full of imaginative power.
Which causes superficial people to think all these folks are confused and need psychiatric hospitalization. But they don't need any, they are entirely normal people. With that, they have great imaginative power, breaking many borders.
In the scientific field, until Psychoanalysis none of this was known. The Freudian psychoanalysis revealed great depths within the human subconscious, symbolic thinking.
Also later, Jung has many observations of this kind - the collective unconscious...the ocean of souls.
So, "those of vast grasping, their force of imagination is great and very exalted, and it's connected with visions that are more general in reality. And according to their courage,
and purity of their spirit, the imaginative power enacts itself through them. To draw exalted imaginations, that the light of the high truth reveals by them. In such revelations that no logical mind can reach".
What does Rabbi Kook want from us? That we are not to be scared of meeting people
of such imaginative force, that we don't think it's a shortcoming, moreover - it is an advantage.
Possibly Rabbi Kook wants something else, besides not being scared to meet such people, rather Rabbi Kook tells You: "Maybe You, the reader, You are one of these great people,
that You don't get scared seeing You have imaginative power that is great ,
use it for these sacred purposes.".
It doesn't work like that. If God revealed Himself to everyone, there would be no leadership and the earth would get corrupted. Not neccesarily, but God isn't doing that now or you wouldn't be typing what you just did.
God reveals Himself to prophets and then they attract followers. Why? I'll tell you exactly why. Because prophets can know what is important for people to know about at the moment and lead them into a good relationship with God. It's God's prefered method of communication.
God said, "It is a wicked and an adulterous generation that seeketh after a sign." Not accusing you.
Let's look at Noah, something with an abysmal scientific record. But Noah was chosen to build the ark and everyone rejected him and he started the human race over again. God can start humanity over from one person or reveal Himself to the entire human race. But it's up to God. Your task is to be reasonable and then don't worry about it. But be sure you're reasonable. Common public opinion is not the arbiter of truth.
The flood story is fiction..to illustrate redemption. Do you actually believe it's history?
Internet's most watched Rabbi....
Although his brother's voice may be more familiar.
Didn't understand a word of it but even so, that was very inspirational. It kinda makes me wish I'd moved to Israel years ago.
There's a large wave of new 'Olim to Israel.
Imagine all the merit of choosing to do it now, despite all the odds.
