Hmmm...Obama had the "brilliant" tag put on him and has been doing a heck of a job of disproving that brilliance throughout his Presidency. When you look at what he's actually done since leaving Harvard Law School as President of the Law Review...what stands out is how mediocre he's been at every thing he's done. I guess the brilliant tag is just as hard to shake as the stupid tag...

As for Joe Biden? Joe's having a good day if he doesn't drool on himself. He's not a bright guy...never has been...never will be. I say a prayer quite often for Barack Obama's continued good health because as bad a President as Barry is...President Joe Biden would be a freakin' nightmare!

Palin was one of the best liked Governors in the nation before she made the mistake of running for national office. She was well liked by many Democrats in Alaska because she took on the "old boy network" of the Alaskan GOP. That all changed when she agreed to be on the McCain ticket. The people that you claim don't mistreat women went after Palin with everything but pitchforks and torches.

What you call "the going getting tough" was the vindictive campaign to bankrupt Palin with frivolous ethics lawsuit after frivolous ethics lawsuit AFTER THE NATIONAL RACE WAS OVER! Who does that? What kind of obsessive personality do you have to have to not be satisfied with beating someone in an election but decide that you won't stop attacking Palin until she and her family are bankrupt?

The fact that Palin came out of that situation better off than if liberals had simply let her go back to Alaska and finish out her term as Governor is a testament to her intelligence. What do you think Joe Biden would do if he was faced with the same situation? Oh, wait...conservatives wouldn't DO what was done to Palin...that's the kind of thing that progressives like you have brought to the party.

In point of fact, Governor Palin was accused of abusing her powers. In several instances the allegations were investigated and the claims were found to be incorrect. At some point it became clear that an individual, well funded by Democrat activists, would continue making false claims. The cost to the state treasury and to the Palin family personally was approaching the point of bankrupting the family and denting the state's ability to pay for things like schools.

At that point Governor Palin took a hike. Now that was not a good thing but it was the only prudent thing to do.

Alaska does not have "vexatious litigant" laws (Vexatious litigation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
so some complicated counter-suits might have ended the vendetta but that, too, would have put a drain on the state's treasury at a time when falling oil prices were driving down the income from various oil taxes. It was (I'll say this in terms liberals might understand...) "For The Children" whose education might have been put at risk by the state spending all its money defending frivolous lawsuits that Governor Palin stepped down.


Now watch liberal hypocrisy run amok when they have to reconcile their destructive attitude toward this particular instance of "For The Children" against their vindictive proclivities.

What, you perceive that i, or any other Democrat does or doesn't do, has absolutely NOTHING to do with why Republicans THEMSELVES do NOT elect blacks nor women in any significant number.

Why is that?

democrats are motivated by power. The party exists to establish an authoritarian regime ruled by an elite. democrats look to manipulate groups, blacks, Mexicans, homosexuals, Muslims, etc. To achieve this, the party offers benefits to leaders of these groups. A Jesse Jackson or Tony Villar will be very wealthy men. The party will steer graft and booty into the hands of these "leaders" in exchange for securing the vote of the group. These leaders secure the votes of the group by buying them off with drivers licenses for illegal aliens, dropping the work requirement from welfare, and other gimmee programs. Since power for the elite is the only principle there is for democrats, there is never a conflict.

The right is built on principle. The goal of the right is to secure liberty, the Republican ideal that was outlined by Locke of life, liberty, and private property. Because the right is founded on principle, rather than the lust for power, then voters seek candidates who espouse (and occasionally actually support) the ideals of Paine, Mason, et al.

democrats put people in office to appease the groups they seek to control, Republicans put people in office based on the principles that person supports.

I'm not part of the Republican party, I belong to the LPUSA - but I am very much a Republican in the way that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were Republicans. I support life, liberty, and private property - I view the ONLY legitimate purpose of government to secure and protect these.

democrats seek only power, in hopes that their rulers will throw scraps to their group. Group identity is paramount to extending that power, democrats vote for race and gender as a means of solidifying power over the groups. democrats have disdain and open contempt for the individual, and for individual rights. Rights, or more accurately, privilege accrues to the group, not to a person. What privilege the rulers of the party grant to a person depend on what group or groups that person belongs to.

The right will elect those who uphold the ideals of liberty. Race and gender are irrelevant, only principle matters.

If a principled black man like Herman Cain becomes popular, the democrats attack with unbridled viciousness, because no person should act outside of the group. The party has assigned the beliefs that black people may hold, to defy them is to be an enemy of the party.

You will savage Ben Carson for having thoughts outside his group identity. You will use racism as the vehicle, but the real issue is that a person demonstrating individual thought is a threat to the system of accruing rights to groups.
