Nonsense . Look at pracrices dating back to Solomon and extending into Paganism ..

At least one third of the Founding Fathers were masons with many others openly sympathetic .The myth of the US being built on Christianity does not stand up to detailed scrutiny .

But DYOR . Take the early 18th centurey yarn as your start point and find out a fuller truth if the subject matter appeals .
