OK, as I have more time now, let me 'Splain.
Pseudo-Christian cults may claim to name Jesus Christ, but who is He in relation to them? Is He G-d Almighty Himself manifest in the flesh as declared in John 1:1, 8:58 and other parts of the New Testament? Is grace alone by faith sufficient enough for salvation, or are there other works necessary? Do they believe that G-d is manifest as one entity, but three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
Now, with those three core tenets in mind, let me show you where some of these pseudo-Christian cults get it wrong:
Watchtower Society (JWs) deny Christ's very deity, completely butcher up Scripture in their NWT Bible, thus claiming Christ is nothing more than Michael the Archangel. They claim a works-based/performance based salvation, that only 144,000 will inherit Heaven. Mormons also deny the very Deity of Christ, also emphasize a works-based salvation, and have been considerably racist.
Having said all that, a book that is still in publication was written by the late Dr. Walter R. Martin entitled The Kingdom of the Cults which give a great synopsis on these and other cults that plague Christianity to this day. One of the best resources out there.
