CDZ are bad cops the product of individuals suffering from mental illness caused by what theyve seen policing violent inner cities ?

The job attracts certain types of individuals that are ill suited for police work. The sadist, the racist, the weakling looking for respect, the lazy looking for a civil service job. Can't see that any department does enough to weed out the ones wanting to be a cop for the wrong reasons.

I've often felt that way as well. Only 30 percent of the population in the US between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible to serve in the military. But, apparently, just about anyone can be a cop. There is also the question of training as well. I was on the Security Force while stationed at Newport RI, and we weren't taught to empty our weapon into a target, we were taught to fire a couple of rounds, stop, assess the situation, and fire more rounds down range if required, but if not, stop shooting. We were taught to use only the minimum force required for the situation.
but he provided no proof = he's full of shit

all babble crap = you provide no evidence.
..the police are not the problem
......the real problem is black culture breeding criminals at high rates and graduates at low rates
etc many links/much proof

If cops continue to kill bad guys like Floyd there aren't any bad cops.
Sure. They’re executioners.
The real fact is bad cops are extremely rare, and all the bullshit about 'raycisism n stuff!' is also bullshit. The 'War on Blacks' is nothng but a media myth put out by deviants and commies and black pols who need to deflect from their own corruption and failures in running their own cities and school systems for 6 or 7 decades, producing far worse results among black people than Jim Crow ever did before the 1940's. 'Bad' killings by police officers are statistically insignificant, barely even noticable without a media who makes every violent doped up thug who resisted arrest a 'victim' and a corrupt national media fake news story for weeks.
Bad policing practices cover more than just murdering people. Very often the murder is just the spark that ignites long simmering resentment at a police department that refuses to look at a bunch of minor incidents of false arrest, harassment, criminality and brutality.
..there is not a problem or police brutality or ''murders'' [ the cop was not trying to kill jackass criminal Floyd ]..he was trying to detain him
. You don’t detain people all ready cuffed and face down
..yes you do--if they resisted arrest before---
...you are typical of a lot of people--you think in movie/TV terms--not reality
..OBVIOUSLY, if Floyd did as he was legally told to do, obeyed legal commands, he would not have put his knee on his neck
[/QUOT
Wrong. Once a Subject is cuffed and on his stomach he presents no threat your, responsibility as a cop becomes one of Protection. . . No if,mands or buts...

weve all seen the videos of cops [though few they are] acting violently when there is no need or taking things to far to the point of criminality ....but one thing iv'e noticed is that not all but the majority of these bad cop incidences occur in violent high crime cities ... could it be that for some people policing in those areas and seeing the murder ,rape , assault and other acts of violence on a daily basis have a negative effect on their psychological health ? no im not trying to make excuses for bad cops ...they should be held accountable when they commit a crime . but maybe putting a cop in a violent high crime area for long periods of time [years] may play a role in police brutality .....

Hard to say PTSD isn't a factor in some bad cops cases. In other cases you have a bully with a badge and a gun, or an authoritarian person who doesn't handle resistance well. Some cops aren't as well trained in de-escalation as they should be, or they feel as though they're in a combat zone situation and go into survival mode. They never know when the unexpected can occur that puts them in immediate danger. And these days most cops are feeling pretty vulnerable out there, like just you and your partner out in Indian country. A cop can get an itchy trigger finger sometimes.

I would also say that it doesn't help when excessive force is excused by superiors and no disciplinary action results. A guy has 18 complaints against him and he's still out there, maybe it's no wonder he thinks he can pretty much do anything and get away with it.

Probably not. Sometimes bad PEOPLE slip through the cracks and get into positions of power. There is no accounting for it.
then there should be many more cops behaving badly in low crime areas ...... i think violent inner cities play on the psyche of some police officers.... the amount of violence and brutality they witness may desensitize a small % of them ......maybe swapping officers out of those areas every few weeks would help with that.

Even if cops involved suffer from PTSD or other mental disorders it does not excuse their behavior. It might explain it, but it doesn't excuse it.

How often do you hear about EMT's killing someone. I've never heard such a story. Probably happened once or twice, but suffice to say it's rare. Because killing, bullying, ruining lives isn't what they get up in the morning to do

People become cops because they enjoy the exercise of power over others. That isn't something that good people enjoy.

In all fairness cops rarely kill people. Here are the facts:

There are roughly 800,000 police officers in the US

In 2019 1,004 people were killed by a police officer. This includes justifiable killings (such as killing an active shooter).

That means that just 0.001% of police officers kill somebody in the line of duty every year. That number includes all killings-not just examples where the police were crossing the line.

I'm not saying that we don't have issues with the police in our country...but to say that police killings aren't rare just isn't supported by the evidence at hand.

Yes. It's just another Big Lie being repeated over and over again; these people have no honesty or credibility. They're trolls and commies.

What do you think it does to the people who live in those areas every day? Kids growing up in those places?

Those that 'desensitize' are probably those that will stay alive the longest in hood rat zones.

That is complete bullshit. People become police officers for the same reason that people enter other fields of service. They want to help people and make society better. If one accountant flips out and attacks people, does that mean that accountants are all inherently violent people with evil intentions? Nonsense.

Now You’re making up what didn’t happen and leaving things out because your argument is weak. Not cuffed behind their back while lying face down-on the ground. The neck is off limits at this point.
. Police pull this shit when THEY , Not one, are afraid and ill suited for the job and/or poorly trained. There There are many other options and it was a group decision to let this happen.

Oh, trolls AND commies. People who see injustices are commies ? Gee, most of our own police are commies then.

There actually might be some truth to the OP. One would think smart commanders would rotate police through high crime areas to prevent such burnout.
