I have to add, that if food is chewed thoroughly, and a diet consistent with your needs is maintained you will experience very little flatulence. Properly digested food will produce small amounts of CO2, not methane.

I've been trying to give up meat but its hard man... Today I woke up and the first thing I thought of was bacon... lol so off to my favorite diner... and on the way home I stopped and got a tri tip for the grill tonight...

There wouldn't be enough time for food to rot since it only takes 24 to 72 hours to be digested and eliminated

It depends on what you eat it with. Meat, alone, does NOT rot in the gut. But eat it with a starchy or sugary food and it can and will.

Meat is full digested before it reaches the colon. Certain vegetables do "rot" in the colon, but this is natural and not unhealthy.
