Actually, the city of Minneapolis has every right to not enforce law and order. That is a state matter. It is their city. But the people of that city then have every right to move out of that city or to elect a new mayor and governor.

It behooves Trump then to weigh defending us from insurrection in a way that he can relate to the public as a necessary thing vs. just letting mobs run out of control hoping it'll make him look better in the midterms?

Have you considered the number of people in Minneapolis who DON'T want gang rapists and murders roaming their cities nor want mobs of radicals blocking streets, attacking police and scanning license plates?

It shouldn't be too hard for the GOP to get up there and make themselves and the nation out to be the victims here when we literally have foreign-funded mobs running a city creating zones where law enforcement are not being let in.

Actually, one of the reasons the insurrection act can be invoked is if a state refuses to quell civil disorder.

I still think the police have a duty to step in where crimes are being committed, but if they don’t, then that opens the door for trump to declare insurrection.
