Any Trip to Mars, will be a Death trap mission.!!?? So many things that can doom mission.!!??

That is the problem with Sheeple Deniers like you .
Insufficient number of synapses to ask questions . Like Why ?

Or, listen to what astronauts Aldrin , Cooper and Mitchell said .
Why not ask the astronauts who lost their chance to go to the moon because the Apollo program was cancelled?
Same thing will happen on manned missions to Mars.
Lot of money to spend on a selfie

I submit to all you Mars mission freaks, that any attempt for a mission to Mars, will be a Death trap mission for the crew that accepts any such Journey.!1?
To many issues that could and may go wrong. 1. Issue number one. Mars is so dam far from the Earth, Nasa, has to wait every Six years for a launch window for a Go for this kind of Mars mission. Issue number 2. The onboard computers, have to be accurate to the last degree in the telemetry for this kind of journey. If your off by one degree, the entire crew can miss Mars, and fly off into deep space, lost for an eternity.!!? Issue number 3. Once you land on the surface of Mars, you wont have enough fuel, to liftoff, to escape the Martian gravity. Mars is not the Moon. The craft will be to heavy to establish escape velocity in order to leave Mars. Issue number 4. There is to much deadly radiation on the surface of Mars. The crew will absorb deadly deep space Gamma, radiation. I say no Go, for any Mars boone doggle pipe dream mission.!! Your thoughts. State your facts, given my facts above.!!??
There's nothing to be gained by this ridiculous project other than huge cost to the tax payer, hugely valuable contracts for SpaceX and huge spinoff value for SpaceX and perhaps a few people lost in space.

The SpaceX engines are unsuitable for such a project too and that's why the Chinese are developing plasma engines that can get to mars in a much shorter time.

SpaceX should be tasked with proving they can get a man to the moon and return him too, if they can't prove they can do that then how can we be confident they can do the same for mars? Launching satellite's isn't impressive, the Russians did it in the 50s and apart from docking with the ISS that's all SpaceX do.

Really it's a nothing, a huge con like Musk's "fully self driving" cars he predicted years ago. Musk isn't an inventor or an innovator or an engineer, he's just a venture capitalist.

I agree with U. Mechanical People = Rovers. Why send folks to the planet Mars when we already have successful Mars Rover operations ongoing? Honestly, in my opinion our current human physical bodies are far to fragile/flimsy & short lived for extended space travel. Then one arrives @ the planet Mars just to find a geographical nightmare, hostile atmosphere, bizarre gravity, limited @ best resources, & the worst of all no creatures to keep us company. We got it pretty good here on our planet earth like why leave it?

The mere fact that you have to wait six years, for the Earth to be in proper orbit to make the trip to Mars, is enough reason not to attempt any such mission.!!?? To far, and I hear it would take six months for the trip, with current rocket engines. To much exposure to space radiation, in space, and on the surface of Mars.!!?? Your thoughts.Would you go, I sure as hell wouldn't!!

The short answer is, yes. There is so much that can/will go wrong and the crew will be totally on their own, that it is certain to failure, unless:
  1. Living on the Moon in some sort of long-term colony is perfected first. If we cannot build a Moonbase and live there successfully, you can forget about Mars.
  2. Any mission to Mars will actually, likely begin from the Moon anyway.
  3. Built into the Mars mission will have to be redundancy in everything. No matter what goes wrong, there has to be some sort of perfect backup. And the failed primary will have to be repairable/recoverable from using skills, tools and materials with them.
Satisfy all that and the odds of success on Mars are passable. Not great, but acceptable. The cost of doing this is incredible.

You must also factor into the mission, that one degree off on the telemetry, and the mission could venture off into deep space. Lost in space forever.!!?!!

I agree. There are a ton of other things that can go wrong. Do not go.
