This was the Principal of the school

An Engineer with Northrup Grumman and Lockheed
Obviously well qualified

But nobody bothered to check his school where it could have been quickly determined that he was a nut job and the children were in danger

‘Jason’s Girls:’ Palmetto High teacher accused of string of sexually charged relationships

In 2008, someone e-mailed the principal at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School with a serious allegation: a creative writing teacher was having sex with current and former students.

It’s unclear if the school district investigated this claim, but it’s clear what happened next: Jason Edward Meyers was allowed to move to Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 2011, where a lawsuit filed in federal court against the Miami-Dade School Board claims he continued to engage in inappropriate relationships with underage female students.

In total, the suit says, Meyers pursued sexually charged relationships with eight of his current or former students at the two schools during his 14 years as a Miami-Dade teacher. He groomed his creative writing students, encouraged them to write sexually explicit content and singled them out to such a public degree, the suit says, that they were known as “Jason’s Girls.”

That is why we have regulations on student- teacher interactions

There are no regulations on home schooling

Public Schools are held to strict regulations and teachers must meet certain qualifications and certifications

Home school is whatever you call it.....including shackling your students to their beds

Then it's up to California to fix that. Judging by most of the people who homeschool, a bit of paperwork probably won't stop them from going through with it.

Maybe if California paid attention to actual issues, and not seeing how many Illegal Aliens they can protect, it wouldn't be a problem.

When he turned up with his application form he should have been checked out, look at him. I hope that the authorities take this opportunity to check out all of these "schools". God knows how many kids are being abused by shit "parents".

People should always have the right to home school and most who choose to do so, do a great job. Good for them. Unfortunately, those who wish to do evil to their children find homeschooling to be a good way to hide what they are doing. As a local RW talk show host pointed out....the crazies ruin it for the rest of us.
