So god sent jesus (himself) to save us from himself. He did that so he could forgive sins. Atonement.
Why didnt he do that, instead of the flood? Why did he kill the entire planet and almost all the animals, when he could have just sent jesus earlier? Did the omniscient one just not think of jesus yet? Or is he just a freaking psychopath?
This is just another pondering that leaves me in the "WTF" category.

The promise to send Jesus was already in play. It had been for many many years before the flood. (Gen. 3:15). "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

The flood was not the result of not having Jesus. The flood was a result of man turning away from God. Just like today, Jesus has already come, but He is rejected by most of the world. And another future destruction upon the earth is coming that will destroy unbelieving man off the earth again. And all this time Jesus has come and offers salvation to them.

So, your fog of 'wtf' is of your own making. Of your own unbelief. You don't believe now and Jesus has come. Oxymoron.

Thats what you think. Thats not what the bible says.

Jesus is an idol and never existed

That is what the Bible says. I gave you the Scripture. (Gen. 3:15)

What have you given? Nothing but your 'wtf' fog.

No that is just what Christians say. The verse is about the ongoing struggle between good and evil, and how good will prevail. It has nothing to do with god sending himself in human form to save us from himself.

There is no original sin in Genesis. Therefore there was no reason for Jesus to exist. So it seems you dont believe the bible
The very concept is rooted in genesis.
My gawd man. You are an absolute moonbat.

Its an allegory we dont believe it actually happened.
Sir, you have your own whacky beliefs contrary to most people on Earth. Jews absolutely believe the flood happened.

Of course there is original sin of mankind in the Bible. (Gen. 2:17) "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it, for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

(Gen. 3:6) "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

(1 Tim. 2:14) "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Original Sin.

It’s largely because your all-powerful and all-knowing deity apparently still thought that somehow humanity could redeem itself at the point of Boah’s little Animal Kingdom cruise.
