Like a bunch of assholes telling Twitter how they should be run?Socialism is people who don't own anything thinking they know better on how to run things than the people who actually own it.
Telling them to follow their own supposed "goals" for the platform.
Why is Trump still banned? What part of the TOS did he violate?
As a socialist, I agree with you on this one.
Twitter did not create the internet and has to abide by the fair use doctrines of the internet, which means no political discrimination.
The only legal reasons to censor are slander or inciting violence.
As a Marxist you mean.
And regulation isn't socialism, it's only socialism when it takes ALL decision making from the owner of said property.
No, I means socialist, not Marxist.
Socialism is as ancient as primitive primates, while Marxism did not exist until around 1830 or so, and was always very abstract.
Here is the definition of socialism from any standard dictionary:
{...
socialism
[ˈsōSHəˌlizəm]
NOUN
- a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
synonyms:
leftism · Fabianism · syndicalism · consumer socialism · utopian socialism · welfarism · communism · Bolshevism · radicalism · militancy · progressivism ·
[more]- policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.
synonyms:
leftism · Fabianism · syndicalism · consumer socialism · utopian socialism · welfarism · communism · Bolshevism · radicalism · militancy · progressivism ·
[more] - (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of Communism.
- policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.
Obviously socialism is satisfied with just regulating the means of production so there not abusive practices, such as illegal trusts, monopolies, child labor, etc.
So you see, the US really is socialist and has always been so.
Socialism means you can have public enterprise and you can have private enterprise as long as it is regulated to prevent abusive practices.
And again, Russia, China, etc., are not at all socialist, but are Stalinist, which is state capitalism.
