Another Debate Audience Recites Pledge when Moderator says "no!"

And HOW is that WILL OF THE NATION to be represented?

Well, by elections of course. As another poster said, this debate was supposed to inform the public and thus make them good voters. But the right wing can't have the electorate be informed. Oh no. Much better to have some bots do a ritual and thus attempt to have the election based on foolish faux-patriotism instead of things that take actual thought.

BTW, if you think the "will of the people" is to institute the radical agenda of the tea party, you're sadly mistaken. You have some uninformed folks that are pissed at the way the economy is right now taking it out on the party in power. That's it. I really, really hope that if the Republican majority comes to pass on Tuesday that they actually try to institute the Tea Party agenda.

Nothing could be better for liberalism in the long run.

Yeah because having liberals in charge as we have right now, sure isn't helping liberalism.

Seems to be hurting it big time!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

If you think we 'have liberals in charge', you don't know what Liberalism is

Sorry Full-Auto, I can't answer a question without enough info.

But if you have a problem pledging allegiance to a country, then maybe you shouldn't live in that country.

Maybe, but the USA that I know does not place its citizens on a kill list. If you wish to kiss that governments ass. do so on your own. But dont tell the rest of us how we should feel or do. When you do you are no better then the left. A big government suck up.

Do you recite it with them or refuse?

I would recite the pledge with them, they being real patriots in my estimation.

Now, here's a counter question...

Can you imagine a group of soldiers, in uniform, ignoring the rules of the debate they were attending and reciting the pledge to show everyone just how patriotic they were?

Soldiers in Uniform would not be attending a political debate. At least they shouldn't be attending. And in 22 years on active duty the only times I remember reciting the pledge in uniform was at formal Military dinners. The Military follows strict protocol. There is no debate.
wait... vets shouldn't attend political debates so they can be educated when they go to the voting booths?

They should just... obey... the GOP's orders?

He said in uniform ;)

And that I can agree with. In uniform you are representing more than yourself.

Ok mister proud American. You have a right to your opinion.

Theyre still Americans no matter what your opinion is.

And? You are telling us something new here?

Well by your estimation a person isnt American if they refuse to recite it, youd be wrong but you have the right to the wrong opinion. I think thats something new to you.

No, not what I said, and I'm not too proud to admit that many of my opinions could be wrong. You don't know me at all do you?

To clarify for you I said they are not (in my eye) 100% American. In other words they are lacking, as obviously you are.

I just want you to keep melting down on here showing everyone what a fool you truly are. By the way, I haven't had a raise in 2 years, you want to take care of that little oversight for me? Thanks.

Truth is, the semantic difference between the words "nationalism" and "patriotism" is very slight indeed. The main difference is in usage. The former is used by American historians when talking about Nazis while the latter is used by American historians when talking about North American colonists of the 18th century.

OK, now that you have confused me with someone else, feel better now?

Read what I say dumb ass, don't read what you want me to say. It is against regulations for troops to attend a political gathering while in Uniform. Not too difficult for you to understand that is it? Moron.

So you support liberty & justice for ALL, huh? How about for war criminals Bush & Cheney?

Like they need liberal advocacy groups like the LWV...
Stone age thinking.

They are smart enough to know they cannot let their guard down as long as there is still one republican running loose in America. The same is true with affirmative action.
Yes..we're all so stupid and downtrodden we need statists to be our mommy and daddy.
Amazing how you lefties believe that government and advocacy groups are the answer to all your problems.

I'll just say, I didn't know that, I am sure I can find cases where that has happened, but interesting info. Thanks......

You're the ******* coward that wakes up everyday and searches for threads on probably about six different forums where you can talk about how many years you milked the Service. Then you have hissy fits with the rep button and like others in your camp, you're stoopid enough to think it means something. How many times do you actually threaten people with neg reps? I mean....you actually *******...lol...threaten people...hahaha! Talk about a melt down.....you ******* waste of wrinkles...
