When they ran his ID they found he had an outstanding warrant for possessing a gun without a permit. He got out of the vehicle THEN (pay close attention) he dove back IN the vehicle to drive away.
You DO realize that cops regularly deal with people wanting to kill them, yes? That a back turned where the cop can't see his hands means he COULD turn around and start blasting away? Or are they supposed to play MS manners while thugs blow them away? Grow up, FFS.

1) Make sure they can see your hands.
2) Have your ID ready.
3) Be polite. "Yes, sir/ma'am."
4) Do what you're told instantly.

The problem is what they call 'pretextual laws' a term now used to to describe how cops pull over black drivers on the slightest of pretexes just to see if they can fine anything to arrest them on. Lighting up that Army Lt. in Virginia for not having plates, ignoring the fact he had dealer tags. Lighting up this kid in Minnesota because he had an air freshener hanging on his mirror. It was all just a pretext to run his name to see if he had warrants. In this case they hit pay dirt..he had a warrant for not appearing in court on a charge of carrying a gun without a permit..something that is now legal in some republican run states. It all starts with a BS stop by cops on a fishing expedition.
