Annual Flu Vaccine No Longer Required for U.S. military, Hegseth Says

The military is a unique community in that everyone lives/works in extreme close proximity to their fellow soldiers. For them, it probably makes sense to get flu shots.. the very last thing a military wants is half the team is down with the flu.
Less than 25% of active duty troops live in the barracks, and those that are arent living in squad bays like in the movies. Most have their own room and those that dont have a single room mate. That doesnt mean there isnt some instance of more than one roommate but it's rare. They don't have communal heads/showers anymore and working conditions as far as proximity to others is no different than anywhere else.

My point.

Agreed
Like all the other past generals who have been Sec Def...... All 3 of them....

In fact 7 never served a day in the military.

  • Charles Wilson (served under Dwight D. Eisenhower)
  • Neil McElroy (served under Dwight D. Eisenhower)
  • James Schlesinger (served under Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford)
  • Harold Brown (served under Jimmy Carter)
  • Dick Cheney (served under George H.W. Bush)
  • William Cohen (served under Bill Clinton)
  • Ashton Carter (served under Barack Obama)
BTW there's only been 23 of them so almost a third......

Aside from Cheney, NONE have turned out to be as dumb as Kegsbreath.

Then lied about his stupidity.

I looked it up. 0 people have died as a result of this policy. Shocking I know given that the people who die of the flu are typically elderly and new borns and as we all know the military is chock full of elderly and new born troops.
The cause is being investigated ( aka cover-up ). Yes , anyone can die from the flu. And since he was one of the soldiers stricken with the flu. So much for military readiness under Hegseth. As I said before he is in violation of UCMJ Code 92. That requires his removal from office.

Yeah I get it you dont like some of the things Hegseth is doing/has done. Got it. Im sure we could go through all the things past Sec Def's have done and find all the things/policies they have enacted and find shit we don't like. The point is you moron's thinking that the reason he's bad is he wasn't a General, which is hilarious given that most of our Sec Def's havent been Generals and almost a third have had zero military experience. Mattis (Trump's first Sec Def) was a General one of my favorites actually (Generals not Sec Defs) and you all bitched about him. As usual this has little to do with anything other than Trump doing it.

No, but you loons are against a person making decisions. On their own.
This puts everyone at risk. The good of the force above the good of the individual. That's how the military works.

WTF are you talking about? On average about 1 active duty person dies a year due to flu. It's actually a little less than one but it's not zero which requires some years with at least 1 guy dying.
'
How is Hegseth violating a lawful order? Your brain is broken.

Is that how the military works?

Everyone decides on their own what to do?
No they do as they are told. Don't worry they already changed their mind over the decision. So you can quit crying, or you gonna cry so more because they reversed the decision?

They are switching the normal flu vaccines to an mra vaccine. I wouldn't take one of those for anything.

I wouldn't doubt that.
I'm sure Kegsbreath, had to run everything he does by the orange, retarded traitor.

You are fighting a no win situiation. As soon as Hegseth is removed from office , in disgrace ; things will get back to functioning properly.

I've never had a flu shot in my life. I remember several years back when I lived in Charlotte, I was driving to work one morning and they were saying on the radio that the flu was going around and doctors were reporting that roughly half the people coming in to get treated had also had the flu shot prior. It doesn't seem to be very effective.
