Annual Flu Vaccine No Longer Required for U.S. military, Hegseth Says

I've never had a flu shot in my life. I remember several years back when I lived in Charlotte, I was driving to work one morning and they were saying on the radio that the flu was going around and doctors were reporting that roughly half the people coming in to get treated had also had the flu shot prior. It doesn't seem to be very effective.
It isn't, for about two weeks and it all depends on your immune system.
Some people get colds real easy, like children.

In any given year the chances of it working totally is 50 / 50. As with any vaccination it gives some protection. There are two main strains of the flu virus and the experts try to calculate which one will be prevalent. It is law in.the UCMJ and Hegseth is ignoring that. Another big mistake on his part.

No they do as they are told. Don't worry they already changed their mind over the decision. So you can quit crying, or you gonna cry so more because they reversed the decision?
The point is that this happened in the FIRST place idiot

So on average about the same as prior to this policy,

And there is zero evidence that this policy has effected readiness one iota.
Oh? Then why did they change the policy…

Oh honey. You think me pointing out that you're an idiot is somehow a defense of Trump or Hegseth. It isnt. It's just me pointing out that you're an idiot.
LOL.
That's ALL you have been doing, is defending Kegsbreath and his brain dead boss.
You're a lying moron.

Oh? Then why did they change the policy…
They amended it for bootcamp kids not across the board. I wonder why people in bootcamp might need it... They are younger, get less sleep, less food, are in a highly stressful environment. All things that suppress a person's immune system. Add in that bootcamp is the one time in the current military (outside deployment) you would live in a squad bay and have communal toilets and showers, so the Pentagon made a change to reflect that.

Are you mad that they are able to adjust a policy?

BTW it's also required for deployments. I know it's crazy that people are able to make policy that is nuanced and adjustable based on situation and circumstance.

Like what?
Over the 23 years I spent in the Marine Corps I made plenty. Do you really think people just go through their career being told what to do at every turn? Who tells the people who are telling you what to do what to do? And who tells those people? And those people?
LOL.

Really? Where have I defended him. Quote it.
