Tell us what exactly is in the bill. We’ll in this case it’s REPUBLICANS letting down sick vets
You have no idea but you defend this out of blind faithThere's obviously some bullshit attached to it that you're omitting. Try again.
cConservatives, so your point is meaninglessYou're entirely full of shit TitsUp. Conservatives have deepest respect for Veterans. Someone is lying.
We value your opinion. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us.Lol that is such bullshit. Clearly republicans in congress don’t give a flying fuck about veterans.
What is actually in this piece of legislation? You have no idea but you defend this anyway?
No it is Democrats taking out some GOP language, but it doesn't matter, the left and right always crap on veterans. We’ll in this case it’s REPUBLICANS letting down sick vets
Yes. I know how Democrats operate. You attach your pet projects that taxpayers won't support to bills that taxpayers will support. Then when it's rejected you cry that Republicans hate vets or whatever. You're lying snakes. You have no idea but you defend this out of blind faith
Dems are being punished for cramming through a partisan $1.2 trillion dollar PORK bill without a single Republican vote or opportunity to offer amendments so SUCK IT!![]()
Anger as Republicans block bill to help military veterans exposed to toxins
Jon Stewart, who has lobbied for bipartisan bill to expand healthcare for veterans, condemns ‘stab-vets-in-the-back senators’www.theguardian.com
This seems incredibly petty. Just revenge for losing some vote the day before apparently.
Why does the GOP hate veterans ? They arent all Gay.
You don’t know? So this is just a BS post, eh? What extras? prosthetic legs?A bill which is, no doubt, loaded with dem "extras".
Y'all are so gullible.
You're full of shit.Take out the $400 billion in non-related special interest spending and it will pass with 100 votes. Simple as that.
Not really. "Conservative" respect for veterans is just bullshit lip service. You're entirely full of shit TitsUp. Conservatives have deepest respect for Veterans.
From the OP:So what BS did the dems tack on to it? No Bill stands alone, it's always a vehicle for more dem spending.
See Post #16.From the OP:
John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, told CNN Republicans did not back the measure because Chuck Schumer, the Senate majority leader, was blocking votes on amendments Republicans wanted.
So the real question is what BS did the Republicans try to tack onto it?
How funny. The Republicans who signed off on Trump's $8 trillion of debt are suddenly worried about too much spending.Simply put the dems (you know, the ones running congress) did not include any spending offsets so the Bill was both inflationary and a tax-payer burden..
Unfortunately, neither chamber has contemplated even a modest effort to offset new spending. As NTU has outlined previously, the House version of the Honoring our PACT Act would not offset any new spending. The Senate version of the bill contains no offsets either. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that the Senate substitute could increase deficits by around $285 billion over 10 years. This legislation’s deficit impact is almost as large as that of the Build Back Better Act, and is larger than that of the bipartisan infrastructure law passed last year.
Senate Should Vote No on Honoring our PACT Act
All that said I suspect it had a lot to do with Manchin flip-flopping yesterday after the gop worked with the dems on the CHIP Bill and got it passed and got rolled for their trouble..
In other words, it was a poison pill.Bullshit - They already voted on the same bill.
The Military Times reported Republicans scuttled the PACT Act because of “a surprise deal on health care and environmental policies announced by Senate Democratic leaders.” In other words, Schumer and Sen. Joe Manchin struck a deal on a domestic package, and Republicans were so outraged by Democratic efforts to govern that the Senate GOP threw a tantrum — one that would undermine veterans’ needs.
How funny. The Republicans who signed off on Trump's $8 trillion of debt are suddenly worried about too much spending.
Hypocrites. I'm sick of 'em.
