This is nonsense. There's no such thing as a free lunch. We have 40 plus years of tax cuts and they've never "paid for themselves". It's a fantasy you guys tell yourselves.What you fail to understand is that cutting taxes ultimately increases tax revenues because it spurns economic growth. Raising taxes is a detriment to growth and therefore is a wash or a net loss. Government spends more, government raises taxes to cover the spending and the economy stagnates. The net result is that everyone ends up paying more and mstagnated. Somebody has to talk some sense into you knuckleheads at some point.
There's a kernal of truth to it. Tax cuts do raise economic growth, but they are not capable of raising economic growth to the degree that they "pay for themselves". For the Trump tax cut to "pay for itself", it would have had to lead to dramatically more growth in GDP, but the best he could eek out was one year of GDP growth at 2.9%.
That's it. That's not enough.
