This is complete conjecture and a theory I have zero data to back this up. It could be that illegal immigrants arent staying in New Mexico once released? I dont know what the status of NM's economy right now but it could be that there isnt a call of their skill set and there is in Fl? Is NM locked down?

Also I dont know that DeSantis is claiming that all the cases in Fl are just immigrants. I think his point is how can the admin say we need to lock down states, and have mask and vaccine mandates and at the same time allow countless illegal immigrants flood across the border from an area that has been by all accounts a COVID clown show and be taken seriously.
