I would argue we can all in part thank Clinton for deregulating the FCC which led to monopolization of the media landscape by concentrated wealth to pursue evermore Bernaysish (Edward Bernays - Wikipedia) psychological manipulation of the masses. You'll note no media outlet questions endless illegal bogus unconstitutional wars for example. There were 50 some odd companies on the US media landscape back in the 1980s. That's been monopolized down into half a dozen multinational corporations who report on tweets in lieu of journalism.
