In this alternate history domestic terrorism is much more severe. The far right is much more violent. A group called Stormfront lead by David Duke assassinates Jewish celebrities and politicians including Steven Spielberg, David Schwimmer, and Paul Wellstone and they even assault the FBI headquarters and Vandenberg Air Force base with automatic weapons and rocket launchers. David Duke eventually gets the electric chair. Could the 90s been worse? Could David Duke have become an American bin Laden? How come our extremists are not as bad as ISIS? How come the far right and far left don't form militias and cause chaos? Are they smarter? They know the US government would tear them to pieces?
