Since Watergate, conventional Washington wisdom holds that the cover-up is worse than the crime. Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-Elect the President (CREEP) tasked former intelligence operatives to break into Democratic National Committee headquarters to wiretap the opposition. To cover up his involvement in the Watergate break-in, Nixon lied about what he knew and when he knew it, resulting in his resignation from office.
Whether Hillary Clinton was aware of the crimes committed between 2016 and 2020 to further her political ambitions is a question that may never be answered. What has been proved beyond any shadow of doubt by the U.S. Justice Department over the past few months is that top operatives in her 2016 campaign used concocted falsehoods to leverage active law enforcement officials who in turn used U.S. government programs and resources to spy on the Trump campaign—a violation of American political norms whose only real parallel is Watergate. We also know that under the pretext of “investigating collusion,” at least 40 Obama officials, including then-Vice President Joe Biden, spied on the Trump team. There is circumstantial evidence that Barack Obama knew what was going on, but since, miraculously, no one has ever publicly asked him about Russiagate, not even once, he hasn’t had the opportunity to either lie or come clean.
But with Trump now safely out of office, it appears that the cover-up is now cracking wide open. In September, John Durham, the special counsel investigating the origins of the FBI’s Russia probe, charged Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with lying to the FBI. In September 2016, Sussmann, a former Justice Department official, passed reports to the bureau that were meant to incriminate the Trump circle by claiming evidence of links between the Trump organization and a Russian bank. Sussmann had told the FBI he was not acting on behalf of a client, but records Durham obtained from Sussmann’s law firm, Perkins Coie, showed he was billing the Clinton campaign for drawing up the reports and for the meeting itself.

In other words, all of Russiagate—the initial crime and the criminal cover-up—is based on the dossier. No matter how much reporters now try to sever themselves from it while maintaining Trump really did collude with Russia, there was only ever the dossier.
So, should the Pulitzer committee strip the Post and the Times of their 2018 prize, as Trump and many of his supporters are saying? By no means. That would only further obscure the damage the media have done to American citizens, U.S. national security, and government institutions during the past several years.

The latest revelations on the myriad of investigations of 'Russiagate' are proving that there has been a gigantic cover up by Hillary Clinton, the DNC and a fully cooperating Quisling Media Complex led by WAPO and The NY Times.
As in "Watergate" and now in "Russiagate" the Washington Post and their prime reporters both Bernstein and Woodward have played important roles. Except they blew it in 'Russiagate" and have been exposed.
The question continues. Will those individuals involved in this vast conspiracy be brought to justice, or will they continue to roam free?

Can't agree with you more... Surely the PM/DSA Democrats have hoisted Hillary and now Joey Xi high upon their own petards. Where they go in their march is now up to logical Freedom believing Americans and not those brainwashed sycophants who look for a utopian world that will never be under totalitarian Marxist rule.

This just shows how dumb many Democrats are. If a few of them would come out and speak about what was done, they could actually get independents to reconsider, at least in their case. But, as long as they sit there and avoid the elephant in the room, nobody who is even close to the fence is going to vote for them out of, if anything else, fear! Add to that, it appears it is going to get WORSE as it goes along.

There are always people..........usually independents, but also moderate Democrats/Republicans........who will vote for either political party. In ignoring this issue to protect people who aren't running for anything for the most part, they are insuring that they will get none, or very few of those votes. I guess they believe that their base can get them elected, but if last election was any indicator, they are totally screwed!

Russiagate is the biggest scandal in American history.
Nothing comes close in size, scope or harm to the republic than the years-long effort to cripple Donald Trump’s presidency by claiming he conspired with an enemy state to steal the 2016 election and then do its bidding as commander-in-chief.
Its notorious predecessors – L’Affaire Lewinsky, Iran-Contra, Watergate, Teapot Dome, Crédit Mobilier, the XYZ Affair – involved relatively small numbers of malefactors engaged in specific acts of illegality and corruption (we still don’t know who, if anyone, planned the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol)
Russiagate, by contrast, is a vast conspiracy involving innumerable powerful forces, including the Democratic Party, NeverTrump Republicans, the Obama administration, the FBI, Department of Justice and the nation’s most prestigious news outlets.
Where previous scandals often ended with public accountability for the perpetrators – Watergate saw the imprisonment of top White House aides and President Nixon’s resignation – and public reforms, Russiagate has produced no such reckoning.

As Aaron Maté recently reported for RealClearInvestigations, many news organizations have refused to correct documented errors in Trump/Russia coverage, including deeply flawed articles that were awarded a Pulitzer Prize.
Leading peddlers of the hoax – including Brennan, Clapper, Pelosi, Schiff and Sullivan – have paid no price for their actions. To date, no one has conducted probing interviews with Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama about their roles in the scandal.
Engineered by broad swaths of the government and media, the effort to paint a sitting president as a foreign agent alone makes Russiagate the worst scandal in American history. But it is this second, still ongoing phase – this willful effort to deny what happened, this refusal to hold the perpetrators accountable – that presents the most serious danger to our nation.

"Truth and justice don't matter". Only the narrative that is continually reinforced by all corrupted sources. Marxist Democrats at all levels know this. Tell a lie. Keep it simple. Repeat it often enough it becomes accepted as truth.
None of the major criminal conspirator players have yet been indicted tried or gone to prison. Whether it is, Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Baker, Brennan, Clapper, Rosenstein, Ohr, Page, or Strzok. Neither has the biased, complicit Quisling Media Complex. They all belong in jail, or worse for their traitorous acts.
Sadly, the political power of the Progressive Marxist/DSA Democrat Commie Party over the justice system has become so great it is unlikely that any Democrat malfeasance will ever be punished. At most minor people (low hanging fruit) that do not matter to the PM/DSA Dem Commie Left might receive punishment. People like, Hunter will probably never be punished for anything at all, nor will top Dems like Biden, Obama, Clinton, Pelosi. They've become immune to legal sanctions. There no longer is "Justice" in America only PM/DSA Dem Commie "Just Us".

There were no crimes committed between 2016 and 2020. Trump's campaign provided internal polling data and other campaign information to a Russian. He gave it to Russian Intelligence which used it to attack Clinton. What you want to do is jail your political opponents for being political opponents not for crimes. You want to turn this into Nazi Germany.

And yet it's almost always republicans who turn out to be the crooks and low lifes going way back. Look at all the crumb bums and criminal buddies of trump, whom he pardoned. No, the democrats are usually fairly honest and try to do some good thing for we the people, although republicans fight them on that all the way since they only exist to help the very wealthy.
