Not just the extreme, there is also a sizable chunk of the middle.
Adding to my first response, post above, there is this also;
Unfortunately, the Left, in USA (and the West), have never met a fascist tyranny they didn't like so long as it was one that Hates America(USA) and attacks and kills Americans on occasion, if not more frequently. And also attacks the Jews and Israel.
And of course to the Left, "We"(USA & West) deserve it for "meddling in the affairs of other nations".
Never mind that during our 250 years the 'other nation's' have meddled in our affairs.
Never mind that during those 250 years the USA has been an international trading partner.
Never mind that in the last century plus those oh so wise and better than US "older" nations have started Two World Wars and brought those conflicts upon the USA - which we've spent our blood and treasure to finish, only to see "rinse and repeat".
Never mind the centuries of use and abuse by those "wiser and older nations" upon their colonies scattered around the world and the USA often being the nation stuck with cleaning up those messes.
Never mind that despite being the "new kid on the global block" we are envied and hated for our success yet also met with a world mostly seeking a "hand out" rather than a "hand up". Uncle $am big buck$ is supposed to be in constant spill out of coins to the poor disadvantaged (older and wiser) rest of the world.
Interestingly many of the nations criticizing the USA's dealings with Iran depend upon the petroleum that flows through the Straights of Hormuz yet are not willing to help Uncle $am big buck$ clear it of mines and coastal military attack threats.
If I were C-n-C of this operation, I'd send in the "Boots on the Ground" to secure the Eastern shores of the Straights of Hormuz, removing all Iranian military threats, clear the channel of mines, take over control of Karrg Island, and then impose a variable tariff upon the tankers full of Iranian petroleum leaving to haul such to other nations, such as those that are sitting on their arses expecting Uncle $am to do it and pay for it.
Temporary arrangement of course. Just until we get a government ruling Iran that isn't focused on Islamic Jihad and/or being a violent military threat to the region and planet. Then we hand it all back to Iran.
