You are ignoring the part where they are saying directly (interpreted), that this nation can not be represented as a nation by it's name, but rather they can still honor the individual achievements of the athlete's from here, and from elsewhere just as well without using American allegiance in doing so, otherwise it's not honoring the nation directly by name, but to just honor the individual athlete's instead.

What a sad state of affairs where these athletes have decided to betray their nation on the world stage because it won't go along with the woke crazy BS anymore.

We should strip all their medals and awards from them, and seriously consider them being ousted from the United States to a country that they would choose to be exiled too.

I watched the interview with the guy who scored the goal. He couldn't stop talking about how much he loved the flag and the US and how great it is to represent our country. Quite a far cry from those who claim they don't really represent the US but themselves.
