This is a story very few know about...I first heard it from a Sgt.(a veteran of d-day) in my company many years ago...regarding how some Day-Day veterans who deserted when they got to Paris to enjoy the good life...armed with sawed-off shotguns dominated the Paris underworld....anyhow I was talking about the Sgt. the other day on another board of Abn. vets and decided to do some research on the topic since I had never heard mention of the story before or since.
